Charley Weber
A writer, producer and often editor of documentaries, features, TV, corporate films, music videos and commercials. As a director, I’ve also made films for the Dazzle Festival of projection – a 2025 history of Devonport, Seagrams, The St James’ Club, Noritake Chinaware, as well as music videos for Emerson Lake and Palmer, The Wonderstuff and David Cassidy. As an editor, my feature film credits include editing Swing, with Jaquline Bisset and The King of New York for TV, as well as colourising and prepping features for the Cannes Film festival. Some of my documentary credits include: The Right to Decide, for Planned Parenthood in NYC, the James Earl Jones A&E Biography (Alan Weiss Productions) and the Istanbul Earthquake Relief Film, for Can Dundar (Compugraf/Saatchi’s), the prominent Turkish newspaper editor and journalist.
Since returning to the UK to earn a Master’s and write about my experiences of a travel freelancer, I’ve been researching innovative interactive, open source citizen focused media, while training and assessing Content Producers for the UK’s in-work route to advanced accreditation at Level 3 & 4.
Full disclosure for potential contracts: as a result of a CFS diagnosis since Covid, I am officially semi-retired, although still very active developing, writing and producing. Depending on the project and deadlines, often this is not a problem and more of a time and energy management issue. For example, during the production of the Dazzle Film and while teaching and training, this presents no real challenge. However generally speaking, due to CFS a diagnosis, I am realistically limited to working half-day weeks.
Books – Extracts from my forthcoming book, ‘Confessions of a Travelling Freelancer’, as well as my first book ‘Ragamuffin’s Tale’, a memoir about growing up around artists and change makers at the heart of counterculture. Released to good reviews in 2022, the book was edited by Petra Schmidt.

Articles & Interviews Spotlighting new artists as well as counterculture figures I grew up around. Having spent most of my career overseas in the USA and Turkey, there are also articles on working overseas and unusual work travel destinations.
Voice & Music. I have music and voiceovers in film and documentaries. Although music is often now a labour of love, a recently released track of mine Daisy Brain, stood at the top of regional charts for a year and a half. A number of tracks are available on Apple Music and a few streaming platforms.
The online tutor areas can be explored at Convergence. Gathering interdisciplinary areas of training and assessing in communications, storytelling, film and technology, I offer that as one-to-one tutoring online.
